A chance meeting with Mark and a half hour conversation convinced me I had found the write man in Mark and his company for my solar / battery project. His knowledge on the subject is encyclopedic! The quote was both comprehensive and easy to understand with added benefit of warranties, insurance cover and MCS Certification. The installation, despite the rain, went smoothly and the system was up and going in no time at all. It also looks good! All the team were both very open about what they were doing and friendly too. Mark has years of expertise which come through and can compare the different systems and options around components such as the importance of good panel rails on the market without any pressure. His knowledge of the subject is infectious and he keeps in touch and will often take calls from previous sales to see how their systems are doing and if there are any issues. The team of Jack and Callum are very professional in terms of managing and overseeing the project from fitting panels to the installation of inverter, batteries and iboost for water heating. We are using one of the Octopus tariffs and have noticed large savings on our bills over the relatively few months they panels have been installed. The PV Professionals We approached Solarplus in May 2022 having decided that we wanted a solar PV system to reduce our electricity bills and to be independent of the grid for up to 24 hours if needed. We wanted a local firm with a proven track record and chose Solarplus because they met our requirements, being local based, highly experienced and professional. They knew exactly what they were doing and Mark, the owner who is very well versed with the manufacturers and options in the market, produced a very comprehensive and detailed proposal taking into account all our requirements. We were particularly concerned with maintaining the integrity of our roof and Mark put our concerns to rest with his recommendation of Schletter roof and rail fittings and the comprehensive roof sealing system, which has successfully sealed the roof against rain ingress. Mark ran a few scenarios based around our requirements and available roof space and he proposed a 12 panel array of J A Solar 385w panels with a nominal array output of 4.6 kw and a 3.6 kw inverter; as our roof is east facing and we can expect 80% - 85% of peak output due to this orientation. We also ordered 10 kw Pylontech batteries that we subsequently increased to 15 kw which, in hindsight, was the correct decision as they are fully charged by 14:00 hrs on most sunny days from April onwards. Furthermore we can’t praise the installation and commissioning team of Jack and Callum highly enough. They kept us informed on arrival times and scheduled activities, they were very knowledgeable and competent and professional as well as being respectful, polite, diligent and happy to answer any questions. They took their time over the installation and did a beautiful job installing the PV panels and wiring up and installing the inverter and batteries and connection it to our existing electrical system. Backup service is very important as you get to understand your PV system, although it can be as easy as fit and forget and Mark is easily contactable to resolve any queries. We would highly recommend Solarplus for PV installations.

I had 6 solar panels (no battery) installed in July 2022, and since then I have reduced the intake of electricity by 60%, and in addition I am receiving credit on my bills for exporting surplus power to the national grid. The work carried out was exceptional, and expertly done by Mark and his team, and I would strongly recommend them for any such work in future. All-in-all, I consider the exercise to be a worthwhile venture.

I had a problem with my solar panels (supplied by another company) and with Mark’s help the problem was diagnosed and fixed quickly. We had our system, 11 panels, 2 batteries and the control system, fitted in Feb 2023 and it is doing every thing that it is supposed to do. The pricing was competitive, the workmanship was and and the system worked immediately and had been problem free. The fitting team Jack, Callum and George were very pleasant and knowledgeable and fitted the system within the allotted time. After sales follow up has been good and we are very pleased with the whole job. I recommend this company.

Mark and his team worked hard in pretty awful weather to install a neat system that perfectly fits my needs. Talking to them was really easy, I had several WhatsApp video calls which helped me understand what I could have fitted and helped them understand what I wanted. They're not a big company, solar is what they do, so when you speak to them it's not some salesman who's only bothered about selling systems. There was no hard sell, just advice and options that helped me pick a system that would work on my house. When doing the installation they came on time, worked incredibly hard and didn't make a mess. Also they were nice people to deal with. The time between initially contacting them and having a finished system was about 3 weeks, I wasn't left waiting months for parts.

We have just had solar panels and battery installed by Solar Plus Yorkshire and are extremely satisfied with the work. We chose Solar Plus because of Mark’s extensive knowledge and expertise and that he placed great importance on installing the solar panels correctly and securely. Mark recommended two arrays of panels, one on the west facing roof and the other on the south facing roof. The installation work was carried out by Jack and his team to a very high standard; the team were dedicated, thorough and tidy, occasionally working in adverse conditions. They were also very helpful, they set up on our computer a link to view data from the inverter, enabling us to see how we are helping the environment. Whilst the panels/battery have not been in place long, we are really pleased with the performance.

We chose Solar Plus as they are very experienced in the field of solar power installations. They recently installed solar panels to our garage roof. Mark, Jack and their team did a fantastic job and they did not let us down. Extremely professional, experienced and efficient. The whole installation was seamless. They worked in a very safe manner, taking all the correct precautions. They were all extremely polite and helpful and took time out to explain the answers to any questions we had throughout the process. They also advised us that having an automatic solar hot water unit (solar-i-Boost) and accompanying “buddy" remote monitoring display device, would also help with energy saving and would complement our system. It certainly has as we are also saving money on our gas bill, having free hot water powered by solar energy. We are very happy with the whole installation and give Solar Plus 5 stars and would recommend to anyone who is thinking about having a solar system. We had a PV system fitted in November 22 and a battery shortly after. Mark was extremely helpful from the outset and delivered everything as promised, his team were professional and prompt and I would absolutely recommend them. I did receive slightly cheaper quotes from the faceless national companies but I put a lot of value in using local companies and having somewhere to turn to with questions or if issues crop up. If you want it done right then spend the extra few quid!
