As an absolute beginner, I’ve been working with James since April. He is a great teacher - very knowledgeable and extremely patient. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn to play guitar.

James is an excellent teacher. He’s friendly, patient and good at explaining the why as well as the how. Being such an accomplished guitar player himself, he’s also very inspiring. I can definitely recommend him and to any age group.

I started learning to play the Guitar 3 years ago.I have never played a musical instrument before.I found James on the internet. So I phoned him and he agreed to take me on . He is a great teacher, he’s been very patient with me and given me time to pick things up. I would recommend him to anyone .

I took up guitar in May 2020 when we were stuck at home during the UK lockdown. I was 63 and never played, never found the time, but always wanted to learn. I found James' web site and he was starting to give lessons via FaceTime due to the pandemic. He guided me on buying my first guitar which I mail ordered because all the shops were closed. I took FT lessons with James every two weeks until June 2021 when I retired and moved back to the USA in Pennsylvania. I'm still taking lessons with James and we have been able to overcome the 5 hour time zone difference where it works for both of us. James is a great teacher, he has patience when you are struggling and injects new and interesting technics along the way to keep the lessons fluid.
